Background

Entrances to car parks where they cross pedestrian pathways are notoriously hazardous places. Ensuring both user groups act with suitable caution but are not inconvenienced is a delicate balancing act. This site in Berwick upn Tweed is typical of many sites across the country.

Results

Installed and opened to traffic within 1 day without the need to excavate, Quicksett Low Profile Edging Setts have given an aesthetically pleasing finish which is in keeping with the historical nature of the area. The design of the scheme clearly defines both the entrance to the car park and the intersecting pedestrian walkway promoting consideration from all user groups. The visual and tactile nature of the Quicksetts also promotes a redution in vehicle speed upon entry to the car park promoting a safer environment for all.
