Revitamac

Sustainable, long-lasting asphalt repair

Revitamac is a sustainable mastic asphalt repair system manufactured using 90% recycled materials. It provides a durable, waterproof repair for damaged and deteriorated asphalt surfaces..

Repeated temporary repairs can be disruptive, costly and wasteful. Revitamac offers a different approach by creating a long-lasting repair and helps protect the pavement from water ingress.

Revitamac is heated using a suitable heated and mechanically agitated asphalt mixer before being placed, worked and carefully finished within the prepared repair area. It does not require the heavy compaction associated with conventional asphalt repairs, helping to reduce the amount of plant and equipment required on site.

Once the material has cooled sufficiently, the repaired area can be reopened to traffic, helping maintenance teams minimise disruption to road users.

BBA HAPAS certification status

Testing and technical assessment completed

The British Board of Agrément has confirmed that Revitamac has completed the required testing and that all technical assessment criteria required for certification have been met.

The certificate has been drafted but cannot currently be issued due to the temporary suspension of the BBA’s UKAS accreditation. The BBA has confirmed that, subject to reinstatement of its accreditation, the Revitamac certificate will be issued immediately thereafter.

Why choose Revitamac?

Durable and waterproof

Its possible with Revitamac to create a waterproof repair that helps prevent water entering the pavement and contributing to further deterioration.

Manufactured using 90% recycled materials

Its high recycled-material content supports a more sustainable and circular approach to highway maintenance, reducing reliance on virgin resources.

No heavy compaction required

Revitamac does not require the heavy compaction associated with conventional asphalt repairs. Only light rolling is required to embed the pre-coated chippings applied to the finished surface.

Reduced excavation and waste

Subject to the condition and construction of the defect, Revitamac can reduce the cutting, excavation and removal of surrounding material required to complete a repair.

Improved surface texture

Additional 6 mm pre-coated chippings are applied and lightly rolled into the surface to improve texture and skid resistance.

Rapid return to service

The completed repair can be reopened to traffic once the material has cooled sufficiently, helping to reduce disruption and road closure times.

Convenient supply

Revitamac is supplied in manageable 25 kg low-melt bags for clean and efficient handling on site.
